Greetings, Wild Alaskan Wanderers,

We can barely contain our excitement at the thought of our upcoming adventures with you in Alaska. Together we will travel, explore, and experience some of Alaska’s many extraordinary features.

Here’s a fun fact: Denali National Park and Preserve, which we will experience in-depth and camp on the edge of, encompasses 6 million acres. Six million! That’s a difficult number to comprehend, so here’s some context: Our entire home state of Vermont is just under 6 million acres.

We’ve been busy finalizing details and logistics for our program, and have enjoyed getting to know you as we read your personal statements and learn about why you chose Cultural Exploration Alaska.

Our group is a small one and we can’t wait to meld into a close-knit community with you. Each of you brings your own unique experiences, ideas, strengths, skills, and passions to our group, and we’re so excited to learn more about you as we explore together.

We encourage you, in the weeks leading up to our departure, to reflect about what you hope our program will look like: What goals do you have for yourself? What do you hope to learn? What particular skills, passions, or ideas do you look forward to sharing with our group? How will you contribute to a positive group dynamic?

Get excited! Before you know it we’ll be roasting s’mores around the campfire under the Midnight Sun.
